The Story Behind a Custom Lap Desk Keepsake Box
At Mad Tree Woodcrafts®, one of our favorite things is helping customers bring their unique visions to life. Corinne came to us online with an intriguing design for a custom sliding lid box, and we were so excited to make her idea a reality.
We built the box exactly to her specifications, and on ship day, we emailed her photos. Curious, we asked what she planned to use the box for. Her reply completely surprised and inspired us.
“I use an electric wheelchair for mobility. I like having a lap desk that I can store things in for easy access. I’ve had trouble finding lap desks that aren’t too big and bulky, and most are made of cheap wood that falls apart quickly. I’ll be putting a pad on the bottom of the box and using it as my new table.”
We had no idea her custom box would be used this way, but what a brilliant idea! She designed the perfect lap desk — a handcrafted keepsake box that’s not only beautiful but also functional and practical.
