The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States protects five freedoms that American citizens experience every day: speech, religion, press, assembly, and the right to petition. Many lawyers, judges, and media professionals work tirelessly to ensure that our First Amendment constitutional rights are recognized and protected.

We have been honored to craft keepsake boxes with the First Amendment inscribed on the cover as tribute gifts. The lucky recipients were given the keepsake boxes at the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association annual convention, one of which was for a former publisher of The Washington Post. Another was for the attorney of the newspapers in Oregon who fought for First Amendment rights for 47 years.

First Amendment Keepsake BoxA wooden keepsake box with the First Amendment inscription is a meaningful gift for a lawyer, judge, or media professional, whether they are just starting their career or commemorating decades of service.

The keepsake box pictured with the First Amendment inscription is our size Small in Walnut Cherry hardwood. The outside dimensions measure 8” x 5” x 4”.

We do not charge for any engraving. Christy, co-founder of Mad Tree Woodcrafts®, will work with you to customize your text and preferred font(s). We will provide digital proofs before engraving to ensure that you will be satisfied with the final result.

Our keepsake boxes are finished with three coats of Arm-R-Seal Oil-Based Urethane Based Topcoat to provide deep-down protection while preserving the natural wood appearance.
